![]() ![]() Present time Haidee immediately feels that chemistry she dreamed about while comforting Amun. So when she saw Micah she mistook him for the real deal. Turns out that Haidee had visions of her dream man and a powerful chemistry and connection that completed her, that man had the face of Amun. The thing is that she has a Hunter boyfriend Micah, who so happens to look exactly like Amun that she mistakes him for her boyfriend. Once Haidee finds her way through the room's wall she climbs on top of the bed and comforts Amun. He suddenly senses her close by and calls out to her from his mind. Being the keeper of Secrets, Amun begins seeing flashes of visions of a blonde woman who suffered as a child and a woman. ![]() Luckily I was surprised to have the book start their interactions in a way that kept me glued to the book. I mean the woman killed one of his close friends and he's supposed to fall in love with her? Surely impossible without it coming off all angsty and depressing or something along those lines. I initially had no clue how their romance would kick off. ![]() Rather then imprison her in the dungeon he locks her in the room next door to Amun. In the last book Strider captured the Hunter responsible for the Lords' deceased friend Baden's death, Haidee. No one could come close to him without feeling the madness of the violence that Amun was silently suffering with the demon minions inside him. After that rescue mission in Hell that Aeron, Amun and William took in the last book that resulted in Amun catching more demons that turned him completely into one, I was really happy that out of all the places he could of been imprisoned was in his very own room in the Lords' mansion in Budapest. I really loved this book and I am so glad that the quiet Amun, keeper of Secrets, ended up being one of my top favorite Lords. ![]()
